Film-fairy tale "Sampo"

In 1958, the Finns and Russians jointly filmed a fairy tale based on the Karelian-Finnish epic "Kalevala" in Karelia. Directly on Mount Sampo, Kondopozhsky district. The filming was directed by the film director Alexander Ptushko. Operators: Gennady Tsikavy and Viktor Yakushev. Mosfilm studio. Mount Sampo is located very close to Petrozavodsk (37 km).
