One war

The film was shot in Karelia in 2009. The scenery was built on one of the islands of Lake Ladoga, and the film crew itself lived in one of the coastal towns. Every morning at dawn, everyone loaded into a rented boat and sailed to the set. The entire film was shot in a month.

Vera Glagoleva, director: “We didn't find a location for filming right away. But the result justified all our efforts. The ascetic environment helped a lot. If there were a forest around, some picturesque places, and not bare gray rocks - we could not capture such emotions ... "

The script of the film "One War" is based on real events. Scriptwriter Marina Sasina worked as a journalist for the Oryol newspaper and interviewed a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Gabriel Astakhov.
