Vyg River

The picturesque river in the White Sea, Republic of Karelia. It consists of two parts: Verkhny Vyg - flows out of Lake Verkhotinnoe, flows into Vygozero; Lower Vyg - flows from Vygozero, flows into the Onega Bay of the White Sea with two arms near the city of Belomorsk. The length of the Upper Vyg is 135 km, the Lower Vyg is 102 km, the catchment area is 27,100 km². Upper Vyg lies in a wetland, flowing through a system of small lakes. On the river there are a large number of picturesque locations for shooting.
